Regional Novice Events 2023-24

SINGLES

The winner of the MPBR Past Presidents’ Novice Open Singles is Frank Aprea from Main Ridge BC with the runner up being Paul Semmens from Karingal BC.

PAIRS

MPBR Past Presidents  Novice Pairs held today at Mornington Civic winners today in a very tightly contested final between Paul Jack /Jason Ross (Mt Eliza) Def David Lorimer/Laurie Oliver (Somerville).

A big thank you to President Sandra Haigh and her team from Mornington Civic. Umpires, Bar food, greens. Etc. A job well done.

To Danny Tamburrini for his great assistance in  the draw, cards a job well done.

To President Doug Fitcher for making the time in a busy day to come and present the trophies and watch the final today.

It was great to see Andy at the venue today to see some of the rounds.

Many thanks to Andy and his team for their long sponsorship to this event over the years we shall miss them but wish them well in their retirement.

Interesting to note that these events commenced in 1975 and have been going for 48 years so let’s get behind the MPBR in making sure these events in future years by supporting the Novice events.
